Cop: List of seized items given

-

KUALA LUMPUR: “A list of items seized was given to the people at the houses we raided. So what more does he (Datuk Seri Najib Razak) want?”

Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Amar Singh said this when asked to comment on Najib’s claim that he did not get a list of the items police seized in the raids on premises linked to him.

Amar said a complete list of the items and cash seized from several premises in Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur was given to those at the premises. He said the lists were given to workers of the premises.

The raids were part of an investigation into 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).

Police on Wednesday said the value of the seized items was between RM900 million and RM1.1 billion, including RM116.7 million in cash.

“We gave the list to the owners of the houses. If there are workers, we handed the list to them.

“This involves all premises we raided to look for evidence in our investigation into 1MDB,” he said yesterday.

At a press conference on Wednesday, Amar said most items were seized from several condominium units at Pavilion Residences in Bukit Bintang here.

Some were seized from Najib’s residence in Jalan Langgak Duta, Taman Duta.

The seized items include cash, jewellery, branded watches and handbags, as well as designer sunglasses.
