Wu and ‘family’ in concert
SINCE 1987, Jacky Wu has captured the attention of Taiwanese and Asian audiences. Also known as Xian Ge or Elder Brother Xian, he remains as popular as ever more than 30 years later after his debut as a variety show host, actor and singer.
This year, Wu brings his quick-witted humour, rapid-fire jokes and memorable songs to Resorts World Genting — along with a few of his friends — on Aug 25, for the special Jacky Wu & Family in Concert 2018.
Credited with discovering Taiwanese singing sensation Jay Chou — pairing Chou with lyricist Vincent Fang — Wu remains one of the most influential characters in Taiwan’s entertainment industry.
For his upcoming concert, Wu will be joined on stage by several acts whom he has helped propel to stardom over the years.
These include his boy band SBDW, reuniting Wu with his former bandmates Will Liu, Magic and Siow Ma.
Veteran singer and entertainer Shin Lung will also be joining him on stage, in the company of rapper/dancer Siya and singer Sun.
Expect to be regaled by the signature songs and antics of Wu and his fellow singers, including fan favourite Wu tunes like Outside The Windows, You Are Happier Than Ever and City Of Nothing.
