ROLE REDESIGNATIONS AT YTL COMPANIES
‘Streamlining of roles and responsibilities’ follows founder’s death last year
YTL Group has redesignated the roles of board members at three of its companies listed on Bursa Malaysia and at unlisted YTL Cement Bhd.
The group said the changes were driven mainly by the need for a reorganisation and streamlining of roles and responsibilities following the death of group founder Tan Sri Yeoh Tiong Lay in October last year.
He had served as the executive chairman of YTL Corp Bhd, YTL Power International Bhd and YTL Cement.
YTL Corp redesignated Tan Sri Francis Yeoh Sock Ping as its executive chairman, from managing director (MD) previously.
Datuk Yeoh Seok Kian was redesignated as MD from deputy MD previously.
YTL Power International Bhd also redesignated Francis Yeoh as its executive chairman, from MD previously.
Datuk Yeoh Seok Hong was redesignated as MD, from executive director (ED) previously.
Francis Yeoh is now executive chairman of YTL Land & Development Bhd, from MD previously.
Datuk Yeoh Seok Kian has been redesignated as the MD, from ED previously.
Datuk Suleiman Abdul Manan stepped down from his current position as non-executive chairman and will remain on the board as a non-executive director.
In addition, YTL Cement has redesignated Francis Yeaoh as its executive chairman, from MD previously.
Datuk Seri Michael Yeoh Sock Siong has been redesignated as the MD, from ED previously.
