THE MyRumah 2018 property showcase, which ended its three-day run yesterday, succeeded in educating and exposing buyers and prospective buyers to processes involved in buying properties.

The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Bhd (NSTP) Northern Region advertising and sales manager S. Linggaraj said the presence of property, insurance and banking experts helped visitors to gain comprehensive knowledge of the areas.

“We saw a great response from visitors at dialogue sessions with experts.

“We are pleased to have met our aim of educating buyers and prospective buyers on what is needed for them to enter the property market.

“The expo benefited more than 3,000 visitors, who came from Kedah, Penang and Perlis,” he said at Amanjaya Mall yesterday.

Linggaraj said the property sales at the showcase were around RM2 million, adding that it aimed to continue organising the showcase in the northern region by targeting Penang and northern Perak.

“We hope to see more visitors at the expos so that they can glean more knowledge on the industry.”

The showcase, organised by NSTP, is part of Media Prima Bhd’s initiative to provide a platform for the public, especially firsttime home buyers, to secure homes at reasonable prices.

The third instalment of the expo will be organised in Johor Baru next month, while the final leg will be held in Melaka in October.
