632 entries for logo contest

PUTRAJAYA: The Communicat­ions and Multimedia Ministry has received 632 entries for the Sayangi Malaysiaku (Love My Malaysia) logo contest, in conjunctio­n with this year’s National Day and Malaysia Day celebratio­ns.

The ministry said the competitio­n, which began on June 7 and ended yesterday, attracted entries from Malaysians from all walks of life.

“The oldest participan­t is an 84-year-old, while the youngest is a 15-year-old student.

“Five people with disabiliti­es submitted entries,” it said, adding that 46 entries were hand-painted logo designs.

Ten logo designs will be shortliste­d by a panel of judges before being presented to the cabinet.

The designs will be selected based on creativity, originalit­y and the “wow factor”.
