NO report has been received of an alleged theft at the Seri Perdana storeroom, said the police. The storeroom is believed to contain items belonging to former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Putrajaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Rosly Hassan yesterday said: “No report received.”

He did not elaborate on the matter.

On Tuesday, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia founding member Anina Saadudin posted a photo on her Facebook page of a storeroom that looked like it had been ransacked.

She claimed it was the storeroom at Seri Perdana.

In her post, she alleged that the incident happened because Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad prevented Na- jib from taking his personal belongings.

“I want to inform Tun that this is a photo of the storeroom at Seri Perdana now.

“See for yourself what has happened.

“Because Tun did not allow Najib to take his personal belongings, thieves have broken into it and taken the things.

“Why are you so cruel? Those are (his) personal belongings.

“Is this how you treat a former prime minister?

“Is this the behaviour that Tun wants to show to the younger generation who voted for you?”

She asked Dr Mahathir to instruct police to investigate the matter.
