BMW Group upbeat on Sabah, Sarawak markets

-

KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Group Malaysia says Sabah and Sarawak contribute more than 500 vehicles to the company’s sales numbers annually.

More than 200 vehicles were sold in Sabah alone, said its managing director and chief executive officer Harald Hoelzl.

Hoelzl said Sabah had proven to be the German marquee’s key touch point in the country.

He added that deliveries for the BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad range had grown 18 per cent in Sabah last year.

Regas Premium Sabah and BMW Group Malaysia opened the newest BMW and BMW Motorrad showroom in Kota Kinabalu on Saturday.

Hoelzl said partnerships with dealer representatives such as Regas Premium Sabah formed crucial touch points to deliver the company’s promise of “Sheer Driving Pleasure” to its customers nationwide.

Regas Premium Sabah dealer principal and managing director Matthew Tan said the BMW group was the market leader in future mobility, delivering premium products and services for individual mobility.

“The brands representing the premium carmaker are also the fastest growing brands in the premium segment in Malaysia, with innovations that are leading the automotive industry in the country.

“This is why it has always been an ambition for us at TBMC Group of Companies to represent the brand here in Sabah,” he said.

Regas Premium Sabah Sdn Bhd is a joint venture between TM Vision Auto Services Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of TBMC Group of Companies, and Regas Premium Auto Sdn Bhd.

He said Regas Premium Sabah would be taking over FM Autohaus as BMW Group Malaysia’s new dealership in Kota Kinabalu, and would operate from the existing 53,500 sq ft facility located along Jalan Penampang.

It offers a full suite of sales, services, spare parts and systems (4S) for the BMW and BMW Motorrad brands, as well as service facilities for the BMW i and MINI brands.

Regas Premium Auto is also the authorised dealer representative for the BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad brands in Sarawak.

BMW Group Malaysia has a network of 20 BMW, eight MINI, and nine BMW Motorrad dealerships nationwide.
