CHINA is huge on facial recognition technology, allowing it to perform a modern-day take of the eye-in-the-sky concept.

Dahua Technology of China has just rolled out its deepsense series of IP cameras that features AI-powered face detection network cameras and face recognition network cameras.

Relying on AI deep-learning algorithms, these cameras will open up new doors for enhanced security measures, be it in private or public.

Enabling accurate face capture and face attributes analysis make real-time monitoring easier, and places where these cameras will be most useful are business premises, schools, airports, banks and shopping malls.

These deepsense IP cameras offer high clarity face image snapshots even if the lighting conditions have extremely high contrast.

They also support up to half a dozen facial attributes extraction from recorded video, capable of abstracting various attributes such as gender, age, expression (happy, calm, surprised, sad, and angry), glasses, face masks, and facial hair.

Through the snapping of pictures as opposed to recording videos, Dahua’s IP cameras will effectively reduce bandwidth requirements.

In the event a blurry or angled picture is detected, the camera will automatically be discarded, keeping only the clearest and the most suitable images for analysis if required. It also supports advanced video encoding standards (H.265 & H.264) for further cost reduction.
