The right support
FINDING the right sports bra with adequate support — especially for workouts — has always been a huge struggle for me.
To be honest, not many brands cater to larger chest sizes and I would usually end up with one that’s too tight and not comfortable enough.
That’s until I tried Under Armour’s Perpetual Bra series. I also got to try the Perpetual short-sleeved top to pair with it.
When I first tried on the undergarment, I instantly fell in love with it as it fit my body well. Even the bonded bottom band is super-smooth. However, they seemed like they’d make me hot and uncomfortable, and I was a bit sceptical at first. A few workouts later, I’m convinced it’s the right one for me.
The moulded cups and structured design make for a flattering look, but the bra never weighed me down.
Besides, I have never liked using removable pads because they will always slip to the side during heavy workout routines.
The Under Armour sports bra does a good job in making this into moulded cups instead. That way, it is more comfortable for me without having to worry about excessive bouncing during a workout.
GOOD FOR CARDIO
Although tailored for low-impact activities like yoga, pilates and hiking, the Perpetual bra does wonders for me during my cardio workout. It keeps me dry whether during sprinting on the treadmill or weight training, due to its breathable material.
Aside from being supportive, I like how the straps criss-cross for a cross-back design. Putting it on was a bit of struggle due to the strong bond but once it’s fitted, I don’t feel like I’m wearing anything.
Paired with the Perpetual workout top, the straps stand out in the unique, back cut-out design of the T-shirt. The back cut- out design also allows me to move easier when I’m doing any training using more of my hands and upper body.
As the top is ultra-lightweight and super-soft, it dries up sweat really fast to keep me cool and light. The stretch fabric is also very comfortable and not too compressed.
Nice, soft, comfortable, moisture-wicking and cute design. What more can you ask for from a workout top?
I’m very pleased with the Under Armour Perpetual series and may just buy the other colour (which is blue) to add to my collection.
If you’re looking for a good sports bra that’ll support bigger chest and that’s also comfortable, you won’t be disappointed with the Under Armour Perpetual series.
