MJN Motors Sdn Bhd has opened its latest Honda 3S centre (sales, services and spare parts) with a total investment of RM6 million. Located in Cheras, the 3S centre will serve the growing Honda customer base within metropolitan Kuala Lumpur.

Honda Malaysia managing director and chief executive officer Toichi Ishiyama said the new 3S centre would improve convenience and access for customers in the city and nearby areas, particularly Cheras, Kajang and Seri Kembangan.

“As we continue to emphasise customer satisfaction, the role that our dealers play is very important. We are confident that all the efforts can be accomplished with the strong support of dealers such as MJN Motors,” he said at the launch of the 3S centre, here, yesterday.

The 3S centre is equipped with 12 service bays and offers facilities like customer lounge, executive lounge, free WiFi, a prayer room and a kids corner.

For the first half of this year, Honda Malaysia sales dropped 2.18 per cent to 51,354 units from 52,500 units in the same period last year.

Of the total sales in the first six months of the year, the central region was the highest contributor with 24,400 units, or 47 per cent of the total.

For sales breakdown by state, Selangor contributed 67 per cent in the central region, with Honda City being the model of choice.

Despite the slide in sales, the company was confident of achieving its full-year 2018 sales target of 109,000 units.

The company registered 20,000 bookings in June alone.

He said this positive momentum had maintained Honda Malaysia’s leadership position in the non-national car segment and second in the overall total industry volume in the first half of the year.

In tandem with the increased sales, the total after-sales service intake for the first half of this year rose to close at 612,000 units, or an 11 per cent increase from the same period last year.

In the central region, the service centres saw an after-sales service intake of more than 296,300 vehicles, accounting for 48 per cent of the total intake.
