PKR candidate pledges to continue reform agenda

-

SHAH ALAM: PKR candidate Mohd Zawawi Ahmad Mughni pledges to continue working for the reform agenda championed by the state government and Pakatan Harapan (PH) if he wins the Sungai Kandis by-election.

He said he was committed and supportive of the aspirations of the people and the party in carrying out the reforms.

“The people, especially constituents, need a government which is transparent, fair, has integrity, and is always fighting against corruption.

“I’m supportive of the freedom of information for all parties, including the media, as the PH government will not hide facts as long as it does not clash with the law or touch on issues of confidentiality and security.

“I promise to champion state government policies that protect public interest and focus on giving my best as a local leader,” he said here yesterday.

Zawawi assured that he would bring the voices of the people to the Selangor state legislative assembly to be heard fairly.

Zawawi said the state legislative assembly did not need additional voices from the opposition party.

“The opposition can’t carry out anything for the wellbeing of the people as the state- and federal governments are under the administration of PH.”

Asked if allegations of cronyism existed in PKR, said suc accusations must be investigated first.
