1 WHAT IS YOUR WEEKLY EXERCISE ROUTINE?
Training for and actually running six runs in six countries over a span of eight weeks is good training for me! My usual fitness routine involves squeezing in 10 minutes once or twice a week in the hotel room or wherever is convenient, because of my hectic schedule.
2 WHAT IS YOUR FITNESS AIM?
To be healthier and gear my body to take on and complete all the runs on the show!
3 WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE WORKOUT?
Bite-sized high intensity workouts that I can do at home or anywhere else that’s convenient.
4 WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL BREAKFAST
Bread and peanut butter.
5 WHAT IS THE ONE JUNK FOOD YOU CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT?
Fries!
6 HOW LONG DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT?
Around six hours.
7 WHAT’S THE FIRST THING YOU DO AFTER YOU WAKE UP IN THE MORNING?
I drink a glass of water to replenish the moisture lost in an air-conditioned room.
8 WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PREEXERCISE/PRE-RACE FUEL?
During Who Runs the World with Mong Chin,I met many fitness people and was taught to carboload before a big race so my body could store enough energy before the run. So, the night before a run, I eat a lot of carbs; I like to eat spaghetti bolognaise because it’s easy to get and it’s the most yummy!
9 WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE SOURCE OF PROTEIN AND WHY?
I love chicken! You can have chicken in so many ways — steamed, boiled, fried, grilled, barbecued and with different types of sauces.
10 ARE YOU PRO-CARBOHYDRATE OR ANTI?
Pro, of course. If I can have more carbs (without feeling sinful), I would!
11 WHAT DO YOU RUN IN?
Asics Gel-Nimbus 20 Platinum — it’s awesome!
12 WHAT’S THE ONE THING THAT EXERCISE HAS TAUGHT YOU?
To be more disciplined because sticking to a routine and taking time out of my busy schedule can be quite difficult.
13 WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE TIME TO EXERCISE?
Before I shower at night.
14 DO YOU LISTEN TO MUSIC WHILE EXERCISING?
I don’t listen to music but I play exercise videos on YouTube which I follow.
