WHICHEVER way you look at it, the current Instagram-fuelled social landscape and the #fomo syndrome fuel the need for pop-ups, the transient, short-term experience store that permanent fixtures cannot provide.

You can go crazy with pop-ups and the public can have a 360 degree immersive experience of your brand.

Include games, freebies, food and endless Insta-ready photo backgrounds and the story of your brand will play like an orchestra on Instagram when you scroll down the hashtag.

From Aug 20-26, beauty brand L’Occitane will play host to the Experience L’Occitane pop-up in Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur. It promises “an immersive, Provencal-inspired experience that will delight all your five senses.”

There will be a Texture Bar where you can try out the textures and scents of the brand’s skincare range.

Upon arrival, an atmospheric scented bubble shower will greet you where you can discover the key botanicals ingredients used in its famed products.

There is also an Interactive Infinity Room where you can marvel at the sight of hot air balloons, transporting the Immortelle flowers over Provence’s natural landscapes.

Take a selfie or two to share the beauty of Provence with your friends. Lastly, to tantalise tastebuds, the L’Occitane Cafe will let you enjoy a cuppa. Simply sit back, relax and sip.

For this, L’Occitane Malaysia teams up with Yeast Bistronomy executive chef Frank Denis Ruidavet for a week of French food with a local twist, using the same ingredients L’Occitane uses in its skincare range.

The cafe resembles an actual café with proper setting and sit-down dining, ordering menu and delightful Provencal-inspired edible desserts and beverages.

The café menu will see an array of exclusively-curated desserts like creme brulee and macaroons with cherry blossom, almond, rose, lavender, lemon citrus and bergamot. You can also try one of Provence’s traditional candies, Calissons - air flown from Provence.

But first, register at www.experienceloccitane.com to skip the queue during the event.
