‘UMNO-PAS COOPERATION AT LEVEL ONE’
Iskandar Puteri MP mistaken as to level of cooperation between parties, says Umno sec-gen
DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang has been reminded not to make misguided assessments on the cooperation between Umno and Pas. Umno secretary-general Tan Sri Annuar Musa reminded the Iskandar Puteri member of parliament that there are four levels when it came to a political cooperation.
“The first level is not to oppose (each other’s party) but it is limited to the general election and certain by-elections.
“We make way for the (other party to) contest but we are not or not yet together.
“The second level sees us (each party) agree to make way (for each other) and cooperate with each other but the cooperation is limited to certain issues or certain cases (ta’awun),” he said on his Facebook page.
Annuar added that the third level sees the different parties come together in the form of a concept (gagasan) as well as share each other’s machinery, stage and cooperation but doing so with their own logo and manifesto.
He said level four sees the different parties agree to a consensus, share their machinery and use one logo and a single manifesto.
“DAP, PKR, PAN, PPBM (Bersatu) are at level four.
“However Umno and Pas in Sungai Kandis are at level one.
“Maybe in the Seri Setia (byelection) we will attempt level two... as such, Lim should not be a busybody in making a misguided assessment,” said Annuar.
“We have not reached level four yet. Relax YB (Lim)... Do not run.”
