Show good character, PKR polls candidates told

-

PUTRAJAYA: The candidates who had offered to contest in PKR election should display good character by presenting vision and mission to strengthen the party, rather than making personal attacks against others.

Candidate for the party’s central leadership council member, Datuk Kamarudin Jaffar, said he hoped the ongoing campaign would not be turned into a platform to spread negativity that could cause division in the party.

He said it would not only divide the party, but would also indirectly impact the Pakatan Harapan government.

“I hope the campaign would not touch on any particular quarters or leaders outside PKR.

“Our main focus is to strengthen PH and PKR’s role in the government.

“There shouldn’t be attacks against PKR leaders. The campaign should showcase good characteristics of the candidates.

“I regret the current situation where personal attacks are happening,” said the Bandar Tun Razak member of parliament after launching the Accessibility in Transportation Services at the Transport Ministry yesterday.

He expressed regret over the personal attacks made by some candidates.

About 800,000 PKR members will cast their votes in the party elections carried out in phases
