KELANTAN have called on their fans to fill up the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium tomorrow for their Malaysia Cup Group C clash against defending champions Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and be the team’s 12th player as the home side look for their first win in this year’s edition of the prestigious tournament.

Kelantan coach Yusri Che Lah said that he hopes The Red Warriors’ (TRW) diehard fans will not be affected by off the field problems and issues surrounding the Kelantan FA (KAFA) and instead lend their full support to the team.

“I hope that the fans come out to support our team in full force tomorrow night at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium, and any issues surrounding KAFA remain off the field and does not adversely affect the team and our fans.

“I am confident that our fans still want us to rise to the occasion and perhaps this is why the fans should help us by giving their full support as it would be very useful in lifting the players spirits to keep on fighting,” stressed Yusri.

At the same time, Yusri admitted that facing a top team such as JDT is no easy task because the Southern Tigers are also out to secure top spot in Group C.

“We are determined to get precious points which is why we will be going all out for a win to secure a better position in the group that can enable us to get through to the next stage of the competition, but admittedly facing JDT who are the defending champions will be a very tough task.

“What the players and I need to do is to make sure that the team can perform as best they can tomorrow night (Friday) especially since we will be playing at home in front of our very own fans,” he added.

Kelantan are third in Group C after two matches with only a point to show for so far.
