QSR BRANDS, FOODPANDA SEAL TIE-UP
KUALA LUMPUR: QSR Brands (M) Holdings Sdn Bhd is confident that its tie-up with order and food delivery provider foodpanda Malaysia can boost food delivery revenue from its KFC and Pizza Hut businesses by 15 to 20 per cent.
“The partnership aligns with QSR Brands’ customer-centric strategy to create greater service accessibility for its customers while driving profitable growth for both brands and foodpanda,” said managing director Datuk Seri Mohamed Azahari Kamil after the signing of memorandum of agreement between QSR and foodpanda in Petaling Jaya yesterday.
The memorandum of agreement was signed by QSR Brands chief executive officer of restaurant division Merrill Pereyra and foodpanda Malaysia managing director Sayantan Das.
Also present were QSR Brands chairman Datuk Kamaruzzaman Abu Kassim and foodpanda Asia Pacific chief executive officer Jakob Angele.
“The partnership with foodpanda will provide a new revenue stream by serving not only our non-delivery outlets but also complement existing delivery outlets,” said Mohamed Azahari.
The initiative will grow the number of delivery outlets for both KFC and Pizza to about 480 by year-end and to an estimated 730 by end of next year.
He said KFC and Pizza Hut were people’s favourite brands and the company aimed to offer customers the best experience while enjoying delivery meals.
“Beyond that, we are proud to be able to contribute to foodpanda’s halal credentials by sharing our best practices and expertise to provide customers a greater selection of halal food outlets for delivery,” Mohamed Azahari added.
Meanwhile, Das said foodpanda was proud to be able to add two of the biggest names in quick service restaurants in Malaysia to its stable of more than 1,900 restaurants.
foodpanda services for KFC and Pizza Hut will be launched in stages from next month in the Klang Valley, Johor Baru and Penang.
