Govt yet to verify Musa’s medical reports, says Liew
KUALA LUMPUR: The government has yet to verify the authenticity of former Sabah chief minister Tan Sri Musa Aman’s medical reports.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Liew Vui Keong said he was informed that the two medical reports were issued from a hospital in the United Kingdom and a private hospital in Malaysia.
“No verification has been made by the government doctor on the validity of the medical reports,” he said at the Parliament building here yesterday.
On how long it would take for the medical reports to be verified, Liew said it depended on the Attorney-General’s Chambers to make a request for the purpose.
Musa is being sought by the police to facilitate investigations into a criminal intimidation case filed by Sabah Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Juhar Mahiruddin.
He has also yet to be sworn in as an assemblyman
(Sungai Sibuga).
Musa left the country shortly after Parti Warisan Sabah president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal was sworn in as Sabah chief minister before Juhar on May 12.
His disappearance and unknown whereabouts became the talk of the town. However, he later explained that he was seeking medical treatment in the UK.
On Aug 21, Musa returned to Malaysia, but was admitted to a private hospital in Subang Jaya.
