Timed to celebrate 61 years
Mark our National Day with Masa Horlogerie’s commemorative timepiece, writes Nadia Badarudin
MASA Horlogerie is renowned as the only made-in-Malaysia fine watchmaker and retailer that combines Swiss watchmaking artistry and acumen with the aesthetically rich Malaysian cultural heritage and ardent spirit of patriotism.
Founded by doctor-horologer Dr Ahmad Syahid Mohd Fadzil on Aug 31, 2015, the Kuala Lumpur-based brand recently launched the Masa Horlogerie Omninox Colorway61 “Jalur Gemilang” Merdeka Chronograph Collector’s Edition to commemorate the country’s 61st National Day.
This is Masa Horlogerie’s third annual commemorative model in conjunction with the National Day celebration under the Statesmen57 collection. The timepiece is the first of the brand’s Omninox all-black series as well as the inaugural model for Montres Masa, its new digital platform that will be officiated on the big day itself.
This certified Swiss-made timepiece is inspired by the Jalur Gemilang, featuring tri-coloured choronograph eyes and exclusive “Statesmen57” engraving on the case side.
Each of the 61 limited edition pieces is individually calibrated, tested and certified according to Swiss-made regulations. Armed with SuperLuminova hourmarkings and sapphire crystal front glass, the fully handmade timepieces come with a certified Swiss-made Triple-Eye Mechanoquartz Chronograph calibre beating at heart, with Power Saving Module (PSM), NIHS 91-10 Shock Resistance and dual strap option as standard features.
