-

KUALA LUMPUR: Property developer Scientex Bhd has unveiled Taman Scientex Utama, its latest township development in Senai, Johor, with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM1.3 billion.

Scientex managing director Lim Peng Jin said the 48.97ha township, which comprised residential and commercial components, was designed for an integrated and vibrant community living experience.

In a statement, he said more than 85 per cent of the new development’s 1,400 residential and commercial units would be priced in the affordable range, in line with the company’s aim to build 50,000 affordably-priced quality homes nationwide by 2028.

“With its ideal location and superior connectivity to key destinations, as well as surrounded by wealth of amenities, we are confident that Taman Scientex Utama will repeat the success generated by our earlier development in Senai.

“The addition of shop offices in the township will inject commercial liveliness and spur business opportunities within a growing community,” Lim added.

He said the group would continue its efforts to deliver more well-planned and sustainable townships nationwide.

The first and second phases of Taman Scientex Utama, bearing freehold status, features 510 units of double-storey terrace houses and 195 units of threestorey terrace houses with land area of 18’ x 65’ sq ft. The first phase would also feature 56 units of three-storey shop offices with land area of 22’ x 70’ sq ft.

The township is accessible via the North-South Expressway and Senai Highway, and situated less than 15 minutes from the Senai International Airport. The township is well-connected to the Second Link Expressway and Johor Baru.
