Company confident of retaining leading position in Malaysia
COWAY Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a leading water and air purifier solutions provider, will be launching new range of lifestyle products in the coming quarters.
“Apart from water and air purifiers, we will be launching various life-care products,” managing director Kyle Choi Ki Ryong told NST Business recently.
Choi expressed confidence the brand would be able to retain its leading position in Malaysia with new products in the pipeline that are designed to cater to the needs of Malaysians.
“We believe the upcoming introduction of our innovative products will further propel us to accelerate the growth of our customer base,” he said.
Coway recently launched its ice-making water purifier, Lucy.
To a question on challenges, especially from unorganised players operating in the water purifier market, Choi said it was undeniable that they had always been in the market.
“While their prices for non-certificated filters and products are low, many customers are now becoming more aware of the importance of investing in a product that truly serves its purpose to ensure better life quality,” he said.
He said industry players had been playing their parts in educating the public on the importance of investing in quality filters and equipment, as well as the importance of regular services and maintenance — which can affect the performance of the product.
Choi said Coway’s main markets remained South Korea as well as Malaysia.
“We have managed to secure the status as the leading water and air purifier brand in both countries,” he said.
