UEM to launch projects worth RM665m in next 6 months
KUALA LUMPUR: Property developer UEM Sunrise Bhd is launching RM665 million worth of new projects in the next six months and a bulk will feature properties priced below RM700,000.
Chief marketing officer Kenny Wong said the company was bullish on the market.
“We believe the property market will do better next year as we anticipate the government will announce more goodies in the 2019 Budget.
“We will launch more projects in the second half of next year. It is going to be another exciting year for us leading up to 2020,” Wong told NST Business.
He said its immediate project was Astrea Mont Kiara, with a gross development value of RM323 million.
It is a high-end residential development which will be launched on Saturday.
Astrea Mont Kiara will have 240 units with built-up areas ranging from 1,364 to 1,859 sq ft.
Wong said almost 60 per cent of the units had been booked since the preview on October 6.
“We are selling the units starting from RM1.1 million, or RM870 per square foot. These are partly furnished and we are also giving discounts. We expect all units to be fully sold by June next year, ” he told NST Business.
Wong said the next launch was Eugenia, a residential project in Serene Heights, Bangi.
Eugenia will feature 84 units of terraced houses, starting from RM577,000.
The other launches will be in Gerbang Nusajaya, Johor.
UEM Sunrise project director for Central 2 Liong Kok Kit said Astrea Mont Kiara followed the success of its previous project in Mont Kiara called Solaris Parq Mont Kiara Residency.
“Astrea Mont Kiara is another example that demonstrates our commitment to creating a stunning living space in which a family can be part of a sustainable community.”
The project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2023.
Wong said the project was an ideal choice for young couples and families as well as empty nesters.
“With access to a host of conveniences, it will provide residents ease in carrying out their daily routines,” he said.
