PERMODALAN Kedah Berhad (PKB), a wholly-owned company of the state government, is building a strong and sustainable corporate organisation with a focus on social responsibility.
PKB, incorporated on Jan 20, 1994, has expertise in property development, construction, mining & minerals, hospitality, services and investment through its subsidiary companies such as Islamic Asset Management Berhad, PKB Development Sdn Bhd, Pembinaan Sintok Sdn Bhd, PKB Capital Sdn Bhd, PKB Hotel Management & Services, and PKB Cenasih Management Sdn Bhd.
The company has developed real estate projects that are in line with the state’s development programmes and it has engaged in projects in collaboration with parties either from within or abroad.
PKB assists and develops Bumiputera companies to succeed in the corporate sector.
Among the developments and projects implemented by PKB include the Bukit Kachi Residential College of Universiti Utara Malaysia, the new Majlis Perbandaran Sungai Petani complex and the Northern Region Maritime Enforcement Agency office.
Other commendable projects include Adya Hotel Langkawi, Adya Hotel Kuala Lumpur and Adya Hotel Chenang in Langkawi which is sharia compliant.
