Netizens call Lokman Adam ‘Lobakman’ after tweet on his IQ
“YOU better pray I don’t become President of Umno. First thing I’ll do is sack you for having the IQ of a carrot.”
Whether this was said in jest or in all seriousness, that was the tweet from former Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin to Datuk Lokman Noor Adam.
This led to others on the web assigning a nickname of “Lobakman” to the latter, who is an Umno Supreme Council member.
It all started with Lokman replying to an old tweet by Khairy, that talked about his exchange with Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng on the Goods and Services Tax and the Sales and Services Tax.
Although Khairy’s tweet was posted on Aug 1, it was pinned to the top of his Twitter profile, and Lokman took to replying to that tweet yesterday.
“With this kind of finger-pointing attitude, don’t ever dream that you can ever become the President of Umno,” Lokman wrote.
This was when Khairy responded by saying the Pemantau Malaysia Baharu president as having the “IQ of a carrot”.
Khairy’s acerbic reply at 12.49pm yesterday is fast gaining popularity on the microblogging site, having garnered close to 1,000 retweets.
This appears to be the first time Khairy and Lokman are arguing in public, starting with the former stating that Barisan Nasional had lost the 14th General Election because of 1Malaysia Development Bhd.
That time, Khairy was responding to former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s lament that blamed BN’s loss on fraud and defamation, among others.
Later, Lokman claimed that Najib could have engineered a unity government on May 9 if it wasn’t for Khairy, who went to the former Umno president’s house to demand his resignation that night.
