As 2018 draws to a close, Lobby Lounge at Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur has a special afternoon tea menu to delight guests with a new range of treats to indulge in. Whether you’re craving for a quick afternoon snack or recover from an early Christmas shopping spree, the Festive Afternoon Tea will be the highlight of your day.

Presented neatly on an orientalin­spired tea stand, the savoury department include Maine Lobster Mill-Feuille, Teriyaki Grilled Turkey Sandwich Skewer, Alaska King Crab in Saffron Rolls with Avocado, Duck Parfait and Smoked Duck with Apple Compote in Choux Pastry and Mini Brioche with Smoked Salmon.

Blanc, Cherry and Lime Tart, Mince Pie, Apple Tarte Tatin, Caramel Chocolate and Mango Dome, Mendiant Raisin and Pistachio. Sip on your choice of Zesta’s tea or coffee before spreading clotted cream and strawberry jam over a warm buttery Chestnut Scone or Cranberry and Gingerbrea­d Spice Scone.

As you share your upcoming plans for 2019 with your loved ones, nibble on some Christmas classics from around the world – Leckerli, St Cinnamon, Spitzbuben, Vanillekip­ferl and Speculaas. The Kuala Lumpur Chocolate Tower remains as the centrepiec­e on the Afternoon Tea stand, highlighti­ng one of Kuala Lumpur’s famous landmarks.
