Sabah police on the lookout for 3 men

KOTA KINABALU: Police are on the hunt for three individual­s to help facilitate investigat­ions into cases involving murder, rape, and unnatural sex here.

District police chief Assistant Commission­er Habibi Majinji said two of the suspects were locals while the other held a permanent resident status.

All three were between the ages 38 and 57.

“We are hunting for Sisal Benigno, 41, suspected to be involved in a murder case in February last year, which is being investigat­ed under Section 302 of the Penal Code,” he said yesterday.

“Police are also looking for Dainis Sitim, 38, for involvemen­t in three offences of rape and carnal intercours­e against the order of nature in July 2016. The cases are being investigat­ed under Section 376, Section 376 (3) and Section 377 (C)(A) of the Penal Code.”

The third suspect, identified as Lajin Pilong, 57, was wanted to facilitate investigat­ion under Section 377 (E) of the Penal Code for carnal intercours­e against the order of nature. The offence took place in March 2017, he added.

Habibi urged the public to assist in providing informatio­n to police.

He advised those who knew the whereabout­s of these individual­s to contact the police headquarte­rs here at 088-221191/ 529211 or to present themselves at any nearby station.
