SPECIAL EDITION MUGEN DUO
HONDA Malaysia Sdn Bhd has launched two special editions Jazz Mugen and BRV, limited to 300 units each.
The special edition Honda Jazz Mugen is equipped with all-round Mugen body kit, new front aero bumper, LED front fog lights, sport front grille, tailgate garnish, side under spoiler, rear under spoiler and tailgate spoiler to give it a rugged look.
Since its introduction in Malaysia in 2003, more than 90,000 units of Jazz have been sold. Last year, it contributed 13 per cent to the total sales of Honda Malaysia sales. The performance also helped the model to retain the No. 1 position in its segment with 86 per cent market share.
The Jazz Mugen is powered by the 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine mated with the Honda Earth Dreams Technology’s continuous variable transmission (CVT). It has four different seat configurations (Utility, Long, Tall and Refresh) to allow versatility in the interior space layout to suit different users and needs, without compromising comfort.
In terms of safety features, it comes with six airbags, vehicle stability assist, hill start assist, anti-lock braking system, and ISOFIX child seat mounting points.
“With all these features and functionality, the Jazz is suitable for different age groups and lifestyles, from young executive to small families,” said Honda Malaysia in a statement.
The Jazz Mugen is priced at RM88,600 on the road for the Modern Steel Metallic colour and RM88,720 for the White Orchid Pearl, excluding insurance.
At the same time, the company also introduced the seven-seater crossover, the BR-V Special edition, which comes with the tailgate spoiler, running board and side step garnish, while the interior gets the 6.8-inch infotainment system with smartphone connectivity.
Honda Malaysia has sold more than 29,000 units of the BR-V since its launch in January 2017. It sold 11,300 BR-V units last year, or 11 per cent of its overall sales. The BR-V has a 47 per cent market share last year.
Powering the BR-V is the 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine paired with the Earth Dreams Technology CVT. In addition to the special edition, Honda Malaysia has introduced Passion Red Pearl as the latest colour option for the BR-V, in place of Dark Ruby Red Pearl.
“The BR-V has high ground clearance as well as rear air-conditioning that give comfort to the rear passengers. These features make the BR-V very conducive as a seven-seater crossover, perfect for families,” said Honda Malaysia.
The BR-V Special Edition is available in the new Passion Red Pearl and White Orchid Pearl and priced at RM90,700 and RM91,000, respectively. All prices mentioned are the on-the-road price, excluding insurance.
