Selangor striker Rufino Segovia is ready to tear Pahang apart in today’s Super League match in Kuantan.

Although Segovia, the top scorer last season, has netted only one goal so far this year, the Spaniard hopes to get it right against Dollah Salleh’s side.

Selangor are without a win after three matches with only two points to show while Pahang are second in the league with seven points.

“It is not easy as I am now a marked man after winning the Golden Boot last season. I will try my best to score more goals.

“Pahang are a very good team with a great attack. We need to defend and also take our chances tomorrow,” said Segovia.

Fans can expect a solid Selangor in today’s match with new signings Brazilian midfielder Sandro Mendonca, Fandi Othman and Khyril Muhymeen Zambri expected to take the field.

The 36-year-old Mendonca replaced Grenada’s Antonio German who failed to shine in the opening three matches.

Dollah, meanwhile, has warned his charges not to take Selangor lightly.

“The players are ready in all aspects. We want to beat Selangor after the disappointing draw against Melaka.

“I have advised my players not to think about the draw last week.

“I want my strikers Dickson Nwakaeme and Jose Eduardo to do their jobs well and finish Selangor off. We will be merciless,” said the former international.

Dollah needs to reshuffle his line up as midfielder Nor Azam Azih is suspended for a red card against Melaka.

“His absence will not trouble us as we have able replacements,” he added.
