In Tumpat, Pas deputy spiritual leader and Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob urged anyone who had evidence relating to the ongoing Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigation into allegations that the party had received RM90 million from Umno to lodge reports with the commission.

He said such reports would be important to enable MACC to take action and, at the end of the investigation, provide the people with the truth.

He said any evidence, including the latest claim by RewcastleBrown, should be turned over to MACC.

“I did not follow this issue regularly but my view is that the matter is an old issue. Certain quarters are trying to bring back this issue due to certain reasons.

“If there is evidence to support their allegations, they should bring the matter to MACC. And if there is proof, MACC can forward the matter to the deputy public prosecutor for action,” he said at his home in Kampung Alor Pasir.

Ahmad said Pas would always open its doors to MACC to investigate its leaders and members.

“For me, this issue was more to Pas’s central (leadership) but we will give our cooperation (to MACC),” he said.

In Semenyih, PKR information chief Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin challenged Pas to “come clean” over RewcastleBrown’s allegations.

He said it was incumbent upon the party to be responsible towards its supporters, who had funded their legal campaign.
