Volvo opens new 3S centre in Setia Alam

- Goh Thean Howe

Car Malaysia, with its newly appointed dealer, Motion Beyond, have opened a new Volvo 3S centre in Setia Alam.

The 3S centre, built at a cost of over RM2 million, will provide sales, ser vice and spare parts. Strategically located at the border between Shah Alam and Klang, Volvo Setia Alam will adhere to Volvo’s global showroom and service standards called Volvo Retail Experience (VRE) standard — Volvo’s customer-centric and Scandinavianinspired approach of selling cars.

“Klang and Shah Alam are matured townships with great market potential for luxury car brands. We are happy to be a part of Volvo Cars and are confident that Volvo’s new model line-up will appeal to this demographic,” said Motion Beyond managing director Joshua Lee during Volvo Setia Alam’s opening ceremony.

This opening affirms Volvo Car Malaysia’s commitment to better serve its customers by expanding its dealer network and put in place measures to improve its customers’ overall experience.

“Since we started the transformation plan, we have seen a tremendous upvote from our customers based on the surveys conducted. As a people-centric brand, this is an important indicator that we are heading in the right direction,” said Volvo Car Malaysia managing director Lennart Stegland.

To date, Volvo Car Malaysia has 11 dealerships across with five servicing customers within the Greater Kuala Lumpur area. This year, it intends to secure more locations throughout the country, especially in areas where it is not represented.

“The most important thing for us (Volvo Car Malaysia) is to secure competent dealer-partners that are passionate about the brand and ensure that they are consistently representing it in the right way — this is our promise to our customers,” said Stegland.

Volvo Setia Alam showroom opens from 9am to 7pm from Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 5.30pm on Sundays and public holidays. The service centre operates from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm and is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
