YET another oriental superstar is performing at Resorts World Genting this May 11, and he is Terry Lin Chih Hsuan. The Taiwanese singer, who stamped his mark in I Am A Singer’s Chinese language edition, was a hit with music lovers in his country before he joined the singing competition.
Long recognised around the region for his “moody” yet powerful voice, Lin is known as his country’s King of Love Songs today.
Born on July 6, 1966 in Keelung, the eldest of three siblings first found fame as a member of the pop group Ukulele in 1991.
Ukulele released four studio albums, two English cover albums and a compilation album before it disbanded in 1996.

He has a combined range of three octaves, capable of performing operatic music, and became the first Taiwanese artiste to record his album in One Take and One Take Live.
Lin is also a philanthropist. Since his mother died of cancer in 2001, he has been actively involved in the Taiwan Cancer Hope Fund which helps needy cancer patients seek treatment.
In 2013, he was awarded the Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Top Philanthropist Award.
