The event will benefit the hosts in terms of research collaboration, academic exchange, joint publication and rankings and these will boost the quality of education.

UTM won the bid to be the lead host for this event in 2016, and the accomplishment will boost its global prominence and branding in the higher education landscape.

The growing attendance at the vent reflects the growing interest in the region, as well as recognition of the Asia-Pacific region’s important role in international education.

Increased collaborations with international institutions of higher learning will help local higher education institutions initiate more research projects, increase student and staff mobility and secure international grants, such as the Mevlana programme with the Turkish higher education sector and Erasmus+ with European countries.
