BMW UNVEILS NEW 3-SERIES AND Z4 ROADSTER
BMW Group Malaysia, the official distributor of BMW and MINI cars in the country, unveiled the all-new BMW 330i M Sport earlier this week, with a price of RM328,800.
The premium sports sedan is powered by the 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo petrol engine, mated to the 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission. It produces 258hp and a peak torque of 400Nm from 1,550rpm to 4,400rpm.
BMW claims that the all-new BMW 330i M Sport is able to sprint from standstill to 100kph in 5.8 seconds and has a top speed of 250kph. The carbon emission is rated at 147g/ km and it meets the Euro 6d-TEMP exhaust standard.
The BMW 330i M Sport measures in at 4,709mm in length, 1,827mm in width, 1,435mm in height, with a wheel base of 2,841mm. It is 76mm longer, 16mm wider and 6mm wider and 41mm longer wheelbase than the predecessor. The all-new 3 Series weighs 1,545kg, 25kg lighter than the previous generation.
Some of the new features available in the BMW 330i M Sport include the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, BMW Digital Key and an updated Parking Assistant with Reversing Assist feature, which records the cars journey every 50m, enabling it to semi autonomously reverse at low
speeds through narrow corners.

Safety features of the BMW 330i M Sport comprises of head airbags, front to rear curtain airbags, side airbags for driver and front passenger, front occupants airbags with seatoccupancy detection, anti-lock braking system, brake assist, dynamic brake control, dynamic stability control, traction control, cornering brake control, run-flat tyres and ISOFIX child seat mounting points.
There are five exterior option Portimao Blue, Black Sapphire, Alpine White, Mineral Grey and Sunset Orange, to match the premium Black or Cognac leather Vernasca upholstery and Aluminium Tetragon interior trim finished.
The BMW 330i M Sport is entitled to BMW five-year unlimited mileage warranty with free scheduled service programme, BMW two-year/24 month tyre warranty programme for its Run Flat Tyre, BMW Roadside Assistance and Accident Hotline, BMW Group Loyalty+ Mobile App — BMW White Card and BMW Service Online.
At the event, BMW Group Malaysia also previewed the all-new BMW Z4 open top roadster. The new Z4 is offered in sDrive30i M Sport guise, capable of hitting the 0-100km/h mark in just 5.4 seconds.
The roadster has also grown
size, lengthening by 85mm (4,324mm), widening by 74mm (1,864mm) and with a slight bump in its height by 13mm (1,304mm) as compared with its predecessor.
BMW says the wider track makes for more stable and agile in corners while the shorter wheelbase provides a smaller turning circle .The lower and more centralised centre of gravity delivers sportier handling.
With an estimated retail price of RM460,000, the new Z4 is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine offering 190kW/258hp with a peak torque of 400Nm from 1,550rpm to 4,400rpm mated to an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission. The cars comes with M Sport Suspension and Variable Sport Steering.
Exterior colours are San Francisco Red, Misano Blue, Black Sapphire and Alpine White, matched with interior options of Black dÈcor with Black stitching, Magma Red with Black stitching or Cognac with Black stitching.
