THE BIO Integrasi group of companies is out to compete in the diapers and feminine hygiene

market in Malaysia, which is mainly dominated by foreign brands, with an ambitious market share target of five per cent in next five months.

The group is targeting the huge Muslim population in the country with its products that it claims to be the world’s first halal diapers and sanitary pads.

Bio Integrasi Sdn Bhd markets diapers called “Bae Bae”, while Bio Integrasi Global commercialises sanitary pads called “Flowra”.

Executive chairman Datuk Sharizal Sarip said the products would be available via online from the middle of this month.

“Other than halal proposition, we believe we can compete on price and quality,” he said after the launch of the products at the 2019 World Halal Conference, here, yesterday.

“For the first five months, we want to secure a five per cent market share and then, we’ll aim for 10 per cent.”

Shahrizal said the products were being manufactured in China using high-technology and artificial intelligence.

He said materials used in the products had been approved by the Malaysian Islamic Development Department as safe and halal.

Bio Integrasi also aims to build a factory in Malaysia over the next three years to meet local demand. “We plan to build it in a halal park in Bandar Enstek, Negri Sembilan.

“We have signed a China original equipment manufacturer contract and part of the deal is that it agrees to transfer the technology to Malaysia after three years,” added Sharizal.
