The nephew of actor Louis Cheung has 10 studio albums to his credit, beginning with My Way in 2002.

He is also a talented actor, and has appeared in 16 films, among them In-Laws, Outlaws (2004), The Legend Is Born: Ip Man (2010) and The Midas Touch (2013).

Two years ago, he joined fellow Hong Kong singers Sandy Lam, Teresa Carpio and the band Lion, in Hunan TV reality show I Am A Singer. However, he left due to unforeseen circumstances.

Cheung also excels in theatre, and in 2014, starred in the Cantonese version of Peter Shaffer’s play Equus, as a man with a fanatical pursuit of his hidden passion in the face of societal taboos.

In 2016, Cheung and actress Ivana Wong became brand ambassadors for multinational insurance corporation AIA’s Vitality Weekly Challenge consumer campaign.

Cheung was exposed to music during his secondary school days, when he played the piano in restaurants around Hong Kong. He had his first major hit Ardently Love in 2007.

He cites Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey as his favourite singers and biggest inspirations. He also grew up listening to popular drama theme songs especially those sung by Anita Mui, Danny Chan, Leslie Cheung and Roman Tam.

Over the last decade, he has won several awards at Hong Kong’s annual music award shows, including the RTHK Top 10 Gold Songs Awards.

Early this year, Cheung took home Best Chinese Record for Hinsideout, and Best Male Pop Singer at the Ultimate Song Charts Awards.
