‘Oscar’ equivalent for the pastry chefs of the world and the team beat 20 other teams from around the globe to become the world champion. This year marks the 30th anniversar­y of the competitio­n, and the first time Malaysia has won first place at the competitio­n.

Diners can look forward to tasting more than 30 types of desserts by Chef Siau and his team. They range from local infused flavours like Curry Leaves & Chilli Chocolate, Teh Tarik Ganache, Lime Crème and Lemongrass Gel Pavlova, Saffron Ganache with Poached Pear Choux Bun and Pandan Cake with Coconut Filling to rich delectable pastries like Blueberry Cream with White Chocolate Éclair, Caramel Stewed Apple Tart, Basil-Berry Stewed Panna Cotta and Coffee Buttercrea­m with Milk Chocolate Glazed Cake. All mothers will also receive a special door gift from Chef Siau.

The Resort Café’s “Sweetest Mother’s Day Ever” buffet spread includes a variety of local delights with both Asian and Western offerings. These include all-time favourites such as Lamb Stew, Roasted Duck, a variety of Dim Sum selections, Salmon Sashimi and Sushi, live action BBQ stations and eight stalls serving mouth-watering dishes which includes a Burger stall, Curry Fish Head, Ice Kacang and more.

There will also be Steamboat on the buffet with 63 choice ingredient­s, served with spicy or non-spicy broth and 16 different sauces, toppings and condiments to choose from.
