Jemput makan at The Resort Cafe

SUNWAY Resort Hotel & Spa once again welcomes Ramadan with its annual Jemput Makantheme­d buffet. Featuring more than 400 dishes cooked by chefs led by sous chef tournant Chef Mohamad Yatim Supaat, the buffet is at The Resort Café.

The team will tantalise palates with mouth-watering selections served indoors at the restaurant’s buffet spread and outdoors with 10 bazaar-style stations with live-action cooking until June 4 from 6.30pm to 10.30pm.

Inspired by the invitation and expression ‘jemput makan’, diners are invited to The Resort Café to be enticed by aromas and flavours of traditiona­l dishes from Malaysia and the region.

The Resort Café is at the lobby level of Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa. The buffet is priced at RM188 nett per adult and RM98 nett per child (aged between 6 to 12). For those dining between June 1 to 4, there will be a 40 per cent off the buffet price for

adult and child.

Diners are invited to step outside the restaurant where a Ramadan bazaar-like concept fills the air with aromas.

The stalls includes the assam pedas gearbox station, churrasco station, seafood bakar station, golek station, kawah station, warisan station, noodle station, nasi station, satay station and gorenggore­ng station.

At the assam pedas gearbox station, the restaurant’s signature Sup Gearbox Turbo is served with Assam Pedas soup instead.

At the churrasco station, tender and juicy grilled-to-perfection meats, fresh vegetables and fruits, and Middle-East offerings like Minced Chicken Kebab, Minced Seafood Kofta Kebab, are available.

At the seafood bakar station, fresh seafood will be grilled à la minute. The golek station will feature lamb marinated overnight with more than 25 spices and mixed herbs before being roasted for four hours.

A selection of Gulai Kawah will be served nightly from eight rotational varieties, and the warisan station features Rendang Tok, Serunding, Bubur Lambuk, Lemang Bakar and Ketupat.

The satay station features beef satay and chicken satay, while the gorenggore­ng station will feature tea-time snacks.

Not to be missed are Malay dishes like Sambal Petai Udang, Perut Lembu Masak Air Assam, Kupang Masak Merah Berserai and Ayam Masak Ala Gajus and Steamboat, and also selections from the Chinese, Indian and Western spread.

The dessert corner has local and Western desserts.

For group berbuka puasa gatherings of 60 persons or more, the hotel offers tailored buffet menus for those interested in organising private or special get-togethers.

Private events can be organised at the refurbishe­d pillarless Grand Lagoon Ballroom, which seats over 2,200 persons, or in any of the over 60 function rooms at the hotel.
