COFFEE TABLE WITH SOUND SYSTEM

MOVING into a brand new home or office is always an exciting time.

The same goes for sprucing up a tired-looking room or space. What if you would like to add a touch of modernity into your living space that is not only aesthetically pleasing but is also future-proof to a degree?

Enter the Coolgeek Soundesk, a stunning piece of furniture that takes advantage of technology to deliver a 360-degree surround sound system in the form factor of a modern coffee table.

Merging the disciplines of art, audio technology and utility, the Soundesk will be able to play back your favourite tunes without missing a beat. This is made possible courtesy of Bluetooth connectivity that pumps out surround sound in any room to elevate the music-listening experience.

Made out of aircraft-quality aluminium, it is topped by an ore-grade tempered glass tabletop. The cone-shaped pedestal would be able to accommodate a multi-speaker array within that results in multi-channel sound in all directions.

With a stable Bluetooth connection to compatible devices such as smartphones, laptops, and other mobile devices, the Soundesk should not be seen as a typical Bluetooth speaker since it features a standby time of three months. This minimises the need for charging once every couple of days.

Still, I would recommend placing the Coolgeek Soundesk close to a power outlet so that charging it would be easy and convenient when the time comes without having to perform a major furniture rearrangement session.

While it is not exactly the ideal home theatre system replacement, it would still do a decent job in conveying the audio cues and soundtracks of your favourite movies, thanks to the 360-degree surround sound system that fills the room with warm, crystal-clear audio.

Expect the Coolgeek Soundesk to retail for US$699 (RM2,899) apiece with a targeted August shipping date.
