Dear Meera,

How are you? I hope you are in the pink. Over here, I am hale and hearty. Last week, I went to Melaka with my family. It was really fantastic. I will relate to you what we did there.

On the first day, we went to A’Formosa Fort. It is a historical site. I saw the old cannons and the fort. I gained a lot of knowledge from the brochures. My brother and I also went on a trishaw ride. The trishaws were decorated colourfully. We were taken around the town.

Another interesting place that we visited was the Portuguese Settlement. The houses there were all decorated beautifully. My dad drove slowly so that we could snap some photos of the decorations done for Christmas. Later at night, we tried some of the Portuguese cuisine. The food was mouth-watering.

Finally, we went to the Water Park. The water sports were thrilling. The air was fresh and the view was breath-taking. We had a whale of a time.

Well, that’s all for now. I must dash for my tuition. Hope to hear from you soon. Please convey my warmest regards to your parents. Take care. Your friend, Mitra

PT3 Model Question 5,JalanBaru,

Taman Jaya,

53100 Kuala Lumpur. 15 December, 2018. Dear Jun Sheng,

Congratulations! I was so glad when I heard that you scored 10As in your PT3 examination. You made it as you said you would. I’m really so proud of you. Your hard work has really paid off.All our family members are thrilled with your excellent results.

I’m in a dilemma now. This year, I’m sitting for PT3 and everyone is having high hopes. You have set a very high standard. Now, they want me to follow the same path as you and obtain straight As too.

The first step that I’ve taken is to draw up a timetable. I’ve already started my revision early. Sometimes, I’m unable to follow the schedule as I’ve a lot of activities at school. When I come back home, I’m dead tired. As for the subjects that I’m weak, I’ve started attending tuition classes. I could not concentrate the lessons in class because it is noisy and the teachers are rushing to finish the syllabus. I thought the weekends are the best and I’ll have ample time to do revision. It is sad to say that even this time is insufficient as teachers give us a lot of homework.

As you’ve done so well in PT3, I would be grateful if you could share some tips on how you studied. You can plan a timetable which I can follow and manage my time better. Please do explain to me the way you study for History and Geography. There are too many facts to remember and I always have problems with these subjects.

I would really appreciate if you could help me to obtain flying colours in PT3 this year. Keep up your good work and all the best to you in the coming year. Your cousin, Jun Yi
