COMFORTABLE and practical yet with a touch of glamour and elegance. TudungPeople’s Eid Collection 2019 is all these and more.

The collection not only boasts signature prints but also includes a new line of lounge hijab. They are easy to wear, aimed at providing stylish yet comfortable hijab options.

TudungPeople founder Fazrena Aziz says that from slip on instants to comfy cotton lycra shawls, the lounge hijab range offers comfort without compromising coverage and style.

“Wrinkle-free, easy to wear and extremely comfortable, you can be the queen of Eid whether you are cooking up a storm or catching up with long-lost relatives. Be presentable and comfortable all at once. The instant range is targeted at busy women such as mothers and career women, while the lounge shawls are perfect for new hijabis as they are a breeze to wear.”

The lounge hijab is fuss-free, comfortable and suitable for daily wear, when cleaning, cooking and travelling.

However, it is still suitable to be worn while entertaining guests, which meets the brand’s theme for its Eid collection.

The Raya Reality theme highlights the behind-the-scenes of Hari Raya from packing for the balik kampung journey, readying the house for guests and preparing food to getting together with family.

“This year, we invite you to take a walk down memory lane and relive the nostalgia of balik kampung. We have returned to basics, simplifying our collection to the most essential. Customers generally receive the hijabs warmly as they feel they can also be worn after Raya,” says Fazrena.

“We also ventured into bolder colours. as many of our long-time customers are looking for something new to add to their wardrobe. Coupled with the global trend of bolder, richer colours, our collections are also taking a step in that direction.”

Designs for the lounge hijab include Hudaa Lite, Hudaa Grace and Afya Grace.

For those who love the look of square hijab, Hudaa Lite is the answer. Made from lightweight ironless lycra, it has open front ends that you can style as you like, whether using a pin or eye hook.

Hudaa Grace is an instant hijab made from lightweight ironless lycra. The design has a soft awning and drape feature on one side to give the appearance of a shawl.

For women who prefer simple and easy, the Afya Grace is similar to wearing a shawl but without the hassle of pins, draping and ironing.

Made from soft, wrinkle-free moss crepe, it features a soft awning and elegant drape on one side.

As with its previous Hari Raya collection, TudungPeople has also introduced its fan favourites — signature basics and signature prints.

Signature basics are Safaa and Safaa Cross, made of wrinkle-free, baby soft cotton lycra for a fast and easy wear in various colours. Both designs come with matching inner.

TudungPeople has revamped Numa Luxe, its signature basic with new colours such as dark jade, peach rose, cornsilk, ginger, mustard and violet.

Another fan favourite included in the Eid 2019 collection is the signature floral limited edition. The Euphoria designs feature bouquets of classic Asian florals specifically drawn to scale, so each angle is different and unique.

This year, TudungPeople has collaborated with other fashion and beauty brands. This includes launching a limited edition design with Indonesian beauty brand, Wardah, for its White Secret range of products.

TudungPeople has also partnered with HijUP, an Indonesian Muslimah fashion brand, to introduce its collection to the country’s wider Islamic market.

Closer to home, the brand has formed a partnership with Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon 2019 for its quick dry, anti microbial sports hijab, which was launched a few years ago.

It is also launching a mother and children's range in collaboration with animation series Omar & Hana. For the first time, TudungPeople has ventured into shopping malls with a pop-up store in Ikano Power Centre.

The collaborations are in line with the objectives of TudungPeople to reach a new audience.

“TudungPeople continues to grow especially in its new ranges, namely sports and children’s hijab. Working with the big names outside of the Muslimah industry has exposed us to new customers and given us different perspectives,” says Fazrena.

“We want to create hijab that can seamlessly be part of a customer’s lifestyle, whether they are active, extremely young, a mother or living the fast life.”

This year we invite you to take a walk down memory lane and relive the nostalgia of balik kampung. Fazrena Aziz
