Everton demand RM533m for Richarlison

-

Richarlison will not be allowed to leave Everton for less than £100 million (RM533 million), according to The Sun.

The Brazilian enjoyed a fine debut season at Goodison Park after joining from Watford for £40 million.

His 14 goals in 38 games across all competitions were enough to earn a call-up to Brazil’s Copa America squad this summer.

Yet, with Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid among the clubs tracking the player, Everton have attempted to ward off suitors by putting a hefty price on their star.

However, the 22-year-old has settled in England after moving over from Fluminense in 2017, and does not want to move abroad.

That means that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ’s Manchester United may be attempted to put together a big-money move.

Meanwhile, a Newcastle United fan has been handed a five-year banning order and a £550 fine for racially abusing Liverpool players.

Michael Collins, from Richmond, North Yorkshire, was found guilty of racially aggravated harassment at North Tyneside magistrates court.

Newcastle have banned him from St James’ Park indefinitely.

The incident happened in Liverpool’s 3-2 victory in the Premier League match at Newcastle in May. Collins was caught in an undercover stewarding operation during the game, which led to his arrest by Northumbria Police.

Steve Storey, Newcastle United’s head of safety, said as quoted by the Guardian: “Racism has absolutely no place at St James’ Park or in our city and we will continue to do everything we can to drive it out of football and society.”
