Sportier look, new gadgets for Honda’s RS150R
SIEW Honda kicks off the new year with the 2020 Honda RS150R.
The updated bike — dubbed RS150R V2 — has evolved with a sportier design, premium finishing and new gadgetry.
It is priced at RM8,199 for the standard version and RM8,499 for the Repsol version.
The local unit is similar to Indonesia’s Honda Supra GTR 150, despite the company hinting that the Malaysian version of the facelifted RS150 will follow the specification of the Honda Winner X in Vietnam.
The biggest change to the updated RS150R is a slimmer brake light with independent signal lights, replacing the integrated signal and brake lights under one housing of the previous version.
The bike now comes with a digital LCD speedometer panel to suit the overall sporty look.
The instrument cluster offers the rider a range of information anchored by a digital rev counter and a central speedometer display.
Drivetrain is retained, so the new RS150R is still powered by the same 149cc PGM-FI DOHC engine paired to a six-speed transmission. The engine is capable of producing 15.4hp at 9,000rpm and 13.5Nm of torque at 6,500rpm.
Further elevating the fresh and sporty design is the latest graphic stripe design with the Honda Trico colour scheme.
It is available with updated schemes — Pearl Magellanic Black, Pearl Nightfall Blue and the everpopular Repsol Edition.
Boon Siew Honda is offering a two-year or 20,000km manufacturing warranty, whichever comes first.
