DNeX said in a statement yesterday the extension was for three years from Sept 1 this year to Aug 31, 2024.

“The contract extension is a testament to our strength and capabilities as a leading e-services provider in trade facilitation,” said group managing director Datuk Seri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir.

He said DNeX would continue to serve the trade facilitation community with innovative digital solutions.

Under the contract extension, DNeX will continue to provide six core e-services, namely e-declare, e-manifest, e-PCO, e-permit, e-permitSTA and e-payment, in providing the trading community with connectivity to the Customs and other relevant agencies for import and export document processing.

The company has been the operator of the NSW for Trade Facilitation since its launch in 2009.

The NSW for Trade Facilitation has been a key contributor to DNeX’s financial performance, contributing a revenue of about RM90 million a year.

DNeX will also provide services for the Asean Single Window.

Syed Zainal Abidin said DNeX would expand its trade facilitation e-services with the introduction of business-to-business initiatives that could contribute to the digital economy push.
