Bintai Kinden to supply Greenie Medi Cold Chain Box in Saudi Arabia

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Bintai Kinden Corporation Bhd, through subsidiary Bintai Healthcare Sdn Bhd, has inked a deal to supply the Greenie Medi Cold Chain Box in Saudi Arabia.

The company yesterday inked a memorandum of understanding with Alrowad Medical Services (AMS) for the supply of the product that is used for the storage and distribution of Covid-19 vaccines.

Bintai Kinden managing director Ong Choon Lui said the collaboration with AMS augured well for the group as Saudi Arabia had recently rolled out a nationwide Covid-19 vaccination programme.

“The Greenie Medi Cold Chain Box is to be used in the transport of medical goods. It is designed to transport and store medical products at very low temperatures (-70°C for up to 120 hours).”

Bintai Healthcare was appointed as exclusive distributor for the Greenie Medi Cold Chain Box in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and the Philippines by SLAB Asia Co Ltd.

It is also the authorised distributor in Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia, Timor Leste, Indonesia, Laos, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

AMS is a healthcare-focused company in infection control and smart solutions.

It specialises in infection prevention, quality control and diabetic care management.

Bintai Kinden said its strategies moving forward included expanding its healthcare product portfolio and exploring new opportunities in the international market through partnership, collaboration or joint ventures with healthcare solution providers.

“We hope our healthcare business can contribute more than 25 per cent to the company’s profit in the future,” Ong added.
