HEITECH AIMS TO HASTEN DIGITALISATION
Company to offer solutions that will help people adapt to and adopt ‘new normal’
HEITECH Padu Bhd plans to accelerate digitalisation postCovid-19 pandemic as it sees stronger demand for information technology (IT) products and services.
“Governments and corporates around the world have hastened IT adoption in order to adapt to the ‘new normal’ brought about by the pandemic,” said group chief operating officer Salmi Nadia Mohd Hilmey.
“HeiTech has seized the opportunity to offer solutions that will help people adapt to and adopt the new normal,” she told the New Straits Times recently.
HeiTech provides systems integration, network-related services, data centre management as well disaster recovery services.
Salmi said the company had not been severely impacted by the pandemic and was able to fulfil its contracts with the government and other customers.
“All of our projects are ongoing and we have also been able to fulfil our service level agreements.
Last year, the company secured a second contract from the National Registration Department worth RM50.97 million for mainframe upgrade and application maintenance. It had previously bagged a RM19.89 million hardware and software upgrade contract.
Salmi said the pandemic also presented the company with the opportunity to offer new applications.
These include eLis, an integrated electronic licensing management system specifically developed for local councils to manage business licences under their jurisdiction, and ezBill, which enabled the deliveries of secured documents linked to a payment gateway.
Meanwhile, Salmi said the group supported the government’s Malaysia Digital Economy blueprint and MyDigital initiative.
“As a technology player that has been in the business for 25 years, we are ready to be part of this initiative to push the digital economy to the next level.
“We are also evolving rapidly so as to stay relevant in the competitive market.
“HeiTech will accelerate its digital efforts in shaping new ways to capture more opportunities,” she added.
