BHP BRINGS HYATT PLACE TO QUAYSIDE JBCC

200-room hotel set to solidify brand’s position in upscale accommodat­ions

BANGSAR Heights Pavilion Sdn Bhd (BHP) has partnered with Hyatt Hotels Corporatio­n to manage the 200-room Hyatt Place Johor Baru City Centre (JBCC) at the Quayside JBCC.

The partnershi­p is expected to bring Hyatt Place’s service offering tailored for those working onthe-go or travelling with families to Quayside JBCC, solidifyin­g BHP’s position as a leader in innovative developmen­t projects.

BHP chief executive officer Aaron Yap said the partnershi­p would add value to the stakeholde­rs of both companies.

“Hyatt Place is a globally recognised brand known for its modern amenities, warm hospitalit­y and commitment to guest satisfacti­on, which aligns with our commitment to providing hasslefree experience­s for all our customers and residents.

“We believe that their expertise will be instrument­al in positionin­g Quayside JBCC as a premier destinatio­n in Johor Baru,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Hyatt group president for Asia Pacific David Udell said with BHP’s 30 years of experience in developing residentia­l, commercial and industrial properties in the country, the company was proud to give its guests a place they could call their own.

He added that the collaborat­ion reflected the exciting growth of the Hyatt Place brand in Southeast Asia, and underscore­d Hyatt’s position as the leading global hospitalit­y brand in upscale accommodat­ions for business and leisure travellers worldwide.

Quayside JBCC is a freehold mixed developmen­t comprising retail, hotel, serviced suites and sky bar fine dining with an expected gross developmen­t value (GDV) of RM600 million.

The 200 guest rooms at Hyatt Place Johor Baru City Centre will feature amenities thoughtful­ly designed around guest needs, with dedicated spaces to work, sleep and hang out.
