Capital A, Trip.com expand partnership on more sectors
Capital A Bhd and Trip.com Group Ltd have broaden their cooperation on more sectors.
This expanded partnership aims to develop solutions covering flights, accommodations, attractions, tickets, car-hailing and payment services.
According to a joint press release, both parties intend to expand the reach and portfolio of offerings of AirAsia and AirAsia Move by using Trip.com’s solutions, such as merchandising and virtual interline products.
“The collaboration will focus on developing technological solutions to increase revenue and optimise cost efficiencies.
“The two will strengthen information sharing on customer trends and market intelligence, while committing to improving customer service through collaborations between AirAsia and Trip.com’s customer service teams.”
TripLink will furnish AirAsia Aviation Group with payment solutions.
Capital A chief executive officer (CEO) Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said AirAsia’s inventory and expansion strategies prioritised China initially, followed by integrating Trip.com's customer base into Asean.
AirAsia Move will work with Trip.com on hotel inventory and provide “Move” activities, tickets, and ride collaborations for Trip.com users.
“Our collaboration extends beyond promoting AirAsia flights and ancillary on Trip.com’s platforms.
“We anticipate exploring future collaboration opportunities on payments for BigPay, we will leverage each other’s extensive network and resources to offer enhanced travel experiences to our customers, delivering mutual growth and success for our two organisations.”
Trip.com CEO Jane Sun said the broader partnership confirmed the favourable results achieved since the initial agreement was signed in 2020.
