You wouldn’t be blamed if you thought that the new Devialet Gold Phantom looks like a pill that you swallow. Then music blasts out of this wireless music device with a sonic clarity that moves grown men to tears and it all makes sense: this new Devialet is audio gold.

A follow-up to the Phantom released in 2015, Devialet Gold Phantom (RM13,900) comes with a host of upgrades with the same unique styling.

There are now ‘ high- excursion’ bass drivers that visibly pulsate to the music to create low-frequency sound waves that one would not expect from such a small package. The new model derives its name from the 22- carat gold accents that lift the original’s more robotic feel into another strata. Inside, Gold Phantom boasts 4,500 watts of power, equivalent to eight of the original Phantoms, promising an audio fidelity refined to the point of near perfection. devialet.com ≠
