WMaldives offers an Extreme Island Takeover Package, where a seven-figure sum acquires the exclusive use of an entire luxury island, complete with every indulgence supported by impeccably trained staff. For the duration, the island becomes your own private playground, from the white beaches and scenic lagoons to its 78 bungalows.

The restyled Wonderful Beach Oasis bungalows have been enlivened by a red palette, while the Fabulous Overwater Oasis villas have blue and white hues that reflect the local sea life. Bespoke items from top designers further amp up the luxury.

The package includes the six gourmet eateries and bars with unlimited food and house beverages, the spa, water sports – and the ultimate cool nightspot, the underground 15Below.

Fish, the revamped overwater restaurant, features ocean-to-table cuisine prepared with South- east Asian flair. Most importantly, the hotel works with local fishermen to ensure they follow W Maldives’ code of ethics “to make everything we do sustainable and use the freshest and most organic ingredients possible”. Prices start at US$4 million (S$5.6 million) for four nights. www.wmal ≠
