Bulgari’s Festa Collection raises the happiness quotient of high jewellery with an ode to fun.
No one parties quite like the Italians do – and Bulgari’s new high jewellery collection, Festa, is proof of that. Over 100 jewels and highend timepieces have been specially created to celebrate the joy of La Festa: the jewel in the crown of Italian art de vivre. “It is all about fun,” says Lucia Silvestri, Bulgari’s jewellery creation & gem buying director. “Choosing a theme like Festa has allowed me a lot of creativity. Some jewels are linked to historical ladies famous for their outrageous lives, love stories and of course, the wonderful festas they used to give in their palaces. Other pieces refer to a specific town or region of Italy, like Siena or Rome. Others are inspired by very basic symbols of happiness like ice creams, balloons, and presents.”
Rome boasts a 2,000-year-old history of throwing magnificent festas - an important way of life for the Roman aristocracy and its princesses until as recently as the 1960s, which fuels the Festa Principesse theme.

(price upon request) pays homage to the Festa’s regal lineage with a cabochon Burmese sapphire that comes set in platinum, alongside rectangular, trapezoidal step-cut diamonds and pave diamonds.
Bulgari’s Olive necklace, which features a lavish assortment of peridots, amethysts and tourmalines set in white gold, follows the Festa Tradizione theme, embodying the beauty of nature in the shape of an enchanting branch.
The collection’s third theme, Festa Infanzia, is charmingly humorous and full of unadulterated fun, brimming over with happy memories of birthdays, sweets, cakes and gifts. An ice lolly-shaped Gelati brooch in pink gold comes sprinkled with buff-top rubies and pave-set diamonds, while a lollipop Lecca Lecca brooch boasts an emerald at its centre and yellow pave-set diamonds.
